Our Major Projects North team are working flat out to hit their goals before Christmas and it shows in their progress at Kintore.

A major project milestone has been reached in the ongoing tower removal work at Glen Falloch where the last of 13 electricity towers have been felled. This project is designed to improve the visual impact of transmission infrastructure in the area.

Omexom Ireland are finishing up work on the new Gorman 110/20kV substation. The substation is located 2km outside of Slane in county Meath, Ireland, with work starting in July 2021 and finalising by the end of January 2022. The €2.4M contract was awarded from Scottish Power Renewables for the complete design & build of the 110/20kV substation to enable the connection of a 50MW battery storage complex.

In Scotland, Omexom UK Major Projects (part of VINCI Energies) was awarded by SSEN Transmission), the contract for the construction of a new 400kV (G3) substation at Kintore as part of the client’s plans to upgrade their network in the east of Scotland from 275kV to 400kV and facilitate the increasing levels of - renewable generation in the region.

Who says construction work has to be 9-5? To ensure we meet our clients needs, Omexom works 24hrs a day with 2 shift patterns on the Fourstones/SSSC2 circuit at Harker Substation. Great work by our Power Solutions team who just keep delivering.

On November 2nd, Omexom in Brazil delivered Lot 26 for Energisa which includes a 230 kV Transmission Line with 267.4 km of extension in double circuit.

Omexom teams are building a new 400 kV substation, Tovåsen, which will be built 25 km south Ånge in Gävleborg County in Sweden.

In Aremark, along Torpedalsveien, Omexom's teams in Norway have begun work on the new 22 kV high-voltage line, 12 m high, between Arbu and Brekke power station (South of Oslo).

Easy Charge, a VINCI Group Business Unit dedicated to electric mobility, and the Fund for the Ecological Modernisation of Transport through its management company Demeter, have been awarded the public service delegation contract for the eborn network of electric charging stations.

As emissions play an increasingly important role in urban areas, many municipal services and local transport companies are already converting part of their vehicle fleets to purely electric traction. This is notably the case of Omexom, which has already converted depots with high-current and intelligent technology for some of their customers.
